Chernbog/Chernobog Deluxe Vinyl Boxset (Black Metal EP)

My thesis project involves creating a logo and designing the overall packaging for an original music project that contains two seven-inch records, two cassettes, a booklet, posters, and the design of a compact luxury box.
The goal, which I set myself aside from creating a vision, for the period from September to the end of June was to record and engineer the music entirely at home. Inspired by artists like Opeth, Heretoir, and Rotting Christ

Our name, as a band, is inspired by a god from Slavic mythology, Chernobog, which I learned about from the work of eight authors collected in the book "New Researches of the Religion and Mythology of the Pagan Slavs". According to the Christian missionary and historian Helmold von Bozow, who authored the Chronica Slavorum, which was published in about the 12th century, Chernobog was worshipped by the Slavic tribes of the Vendi and Polabi in present-day East Germany. He is depicted as a fierce warrior with a terrifying appearance and always wearing black armor and a magic spear in his hand, with which, wherever he strikes, he sows fear and anguish. He fights eternally with the most holy Belobog, god of good and bringer of light.

Inside each vinyl there is a holder that serves to protect the lyric booklet and the vinyl record. The font I have used is "Cormorant Infant." Each element of the project has a matte finish. For the covers, I wanted to use 270 gsm paper, and for the holder, 250 gsm with a partial UV varnish. The booklets found in the protectors are 170g, and the paper on the cassettes is 115g. The overall idea and feel of this package aims to give the user a sense of luxury by immersing themselves in our world of suffering and isolation without losing its "Black Metal" project quality. I used original illustrations that were also created on the fly.
